Airbrush Tan Before And After Checklist
Before
- The night before your tan exfoliate well (soak in the bath to soften skin then follow with a good scrub for best results)
- Moisturise well paying particular attention to elbows, knees and any dry areas
- Paint nails – especially if they are acrylics or similar
- Wax/shave at least 24 hours before tanning to allow pores to close in time. Dotting in pores may appear if not adhered to
- Do not moisturise or use skin lotions on the day of your tan
- Remove make-up, deodorant, lotions etc before your tan
After
- Bring and wear dark loose clothing for after your treatment, any tight clothing or underwear might cause wear marks
- Wear flip flops or loose fitting shoes
- Do not shower or bathe for at least 8 hours (the development period) – preferably overnight
- Do not exercise or swim during the development period
- Try not to touch your skin during the development time to avoid staining your hands. Top tip: wear socks on your hands in bed
- Bath with exotically rich face and body wash (formulated not to strip your tan) pat dry only
- Moisturise, moisturise and moisturise morning and night. Use Sienna x extend and perfect gradual tan at 4% active DHA, so your tan is continually being topped up – remember to wash your palms afterwards
- After day 5, exfoliate with Sienna x exquisitely soft body polish on a daily basis, to help your skin absorb even more extend and perfect moisturiser to keep it looking and feeling gorgeous
- Long exposure to water and sweating from exercise will fade your spray tan. Your outer cells will start to soak up water which dilutes the effect of the tan. The longer you are in water the lighter your tan will get
Who should not get a Spray Tan?
- Women in their first trimester of pregnancy
- Anyone who is allergic to self-tan or who has breathing difficulties
