Moisture is the key to soft beautiful skin and few at home techniques have the power to make a real difference.
Mesotherapy though has that power by infusing vitamins, minerals, amino and hydrating hyaluronic acids directly into your skin to create a soft, smooth glow, giving lifting and brightening effects with a single treatment.
Mesotherapy is a term used to describe multiple superfine micro-injections, also known as the Meso-Lift, Bio Rejuvenation or Vitamin Facial.
A simple fast treatment with very little downtime – application occurs at the perfect depth of the skin, the moisture-rich formula reaches the cells it needs to, giving your skin the perfect boost.
We also offer Calecim – the latest science led Stem Cell protein technology. Calecim can be delivered using Mesotherapy or Micro-needling for skin and hair restoration, suitable for both men and women to improve skin and hair growth.
Mesotherapy was developed in the 50’s by the French doctor Michel Pistor, originally developed as a medical technique to treat rheumatism, sports injuries and for the improvement of blood circulation.
Nowadays, Mesotherapy has become a lot more advanced and is now used by practitioners for a broader range of treatments. Mesotherapy has been successful for the treatment of cosmetic conditions including skin rejuvenation and improvement, hair growth, as well as localised fat and cellulite reduction.
Infusing the skin with Mesotherapy is beneficial because as skin ages circulation decreases and the resulting reduction of oxygen and nutrients hinders your body’s ability to flush out toxins, this drives premature ageing and causes the skin to develop a dull ashen appearance.
Specific blends address pigmentation problems and improve acne scarring. Suitable for the face, neck, décolleté and hands, as well as scalp for hair stimulation using stem cell protein.
After treatment clients commonly describe their skin as looking rested, dewy, glowing and firmer. With multiple sessions, the complexion abandons its dull appearance to regain youth, vitality and radiance.
Mesotherapy can be used to improve the quality of skin to supplement or as an alternative to many anti-aging regimes, including fillers, laser resurfacing, peels, botox, microneedling and facelifts, allow two weeks before/after.
Results with Mesotherapy are practically immediate and no downtime from work is necessary – rarely some pin sized bruising may appear which can be managed with the right aftercare. Mesotherapy for skin rejuvenation and hydration is a highly effective treatment, your new healthy and radiant glow will last for weeks post-treatment.
It has been claimed that Mesotherapy is “like using the best anti-ageing cream for a year, but all in one go.”
Treatment time takes approximately thirty minutes and whilst not painful, it can be slightly uncomfortable so an anaesthetic cream can be used if skin is a little sensitive.
Your skin will be cleansed which is followed by an exfoliation of the skin with a suitable peel or a mild scrub. Once the skin has been exfoliated a serum will be administered, Barbara uses the Nappage technique – a series of superficial injections, with a depth of 0.2mm – 0.3mm using a special fine, short needle, to place a tiny amount of solution into the skin.
After treatment skin will be hydrated, nourished and firmer with an improved dewy texture. This is an ideal treatment if you have an event that you want a quick-fix for. With less than 24 hours downtime – most people are happy to go straight out post-treatment as results are almost immediate.
A course of 4 to 6 sessions is recommended for very dehydrated skins (every one to two weeks) with maintenance treatments ideal every 6 to 12 weeks.
Micro-needling and Mesotherapy are both popular for skin rejuvenation, but which is right for you?
Both treatments have become star services due to the impressive results they can achieve while remaining non-surgical, perfect for clients not keen on prolonged downtime and shying away from more invasive procedures, so both Micro-needling and Mesotherapy treatments provide that perfect balance of minimal recovery time and visibly improved outcomes.
While both Micro-needling and Mesotherapy work by triggering a response in the lower layers of the skin, they’re each suited to different concerns.
Barbara offers both procedures because of the wide range of client concerns that can be addressed on both the face and body.
"I would 100% recommend Sandalwoods. Barbara was super friendly, professional and helpful, and everything was explained in detail to me before any treatment was carried out. The clinic is like a little hidden gem, very easy to find and park. It is clean and has a really nice "spa-like" feel inside. Wish I had found Barbara sooner!"

We are all individuals, therefore, results from treatments may vary from person to person. Results will last a different amount of time from person to person depending on variables such as the individual’s metabolism, lifestyle and area of treatment; this may even vary between treatments for an individual. Results, downtime and recovery following treatment will vary. Side effects that may occur are redness, swelling, tenderness and bruising at the injection site, however, these are mild and temporary.
