Blood spots (also known as Campbell de Morgan spots) are bright red spots and vary in size from a couple of millimetres across up to half a centimetre. They are usually very bright red and have a very clear margin.
Blood spots are coils of abnormal blood vessels that come through the skin and are very close the surface hence their bright red colour. Blood spots become more common and larger as you get older. They are often found on the chest, abdomen or arms.
They can also be found on the back or on the neck.
To remove blood spots we use Advanced Cosmetic Procedures also known as Advanced Electrolysis. The treatment will effectively remove the blood spot by coagulating the blood in the tiny vessels. The vessel then collapses and disappears. The treatment itself is easily tolerated. There are minimal after effects, just temporary redness in the surrounding area.
"Another 5-star recommendation for Barbara. I had several Campbell de Morgan spots removed which was the main reason I visited Sandalwoods in the first place. However, I also asked Barbara for advice on what I thought was a mole on my nose. Turned out it was sebaceous hyperplasia (never heard of it!) and it was removed after a single treatment. Sandalwoods is also very reasonably priced considering how effective the treatments are. Big thumbs up for Sandalwoods!"

We are all individuals, therefore, results from treatments may vary from person to person. Results will last a different amount of time from person to person depending on variables such as the individual’s metabolism, lifestyle and area of treatment; this may even vary between treatments for an individual. Results, downtime and recovery following treatment will vary. Side effects that may occur are redness, swelling, tenderness and bruising at the injection site, however, these are mild and temporary.
