These yellowish-white pads usually appear around the eyes. They are a build up of fat cells under the skin and can be a sign of high cholesterol so if you have these it’s worth getting your blood cholesterol checked.

Electrolysis is used to gently scrape them away.

What our clients say...

  • "I had a xanthomas on each of my eyelids which I was extremely self-conscious of and worried about having removed. Barbara put me at ease immediately and explained the procedure used to remove them and the results I could expect, she was very professional, friendly and clear. She used a procedure called advanced electrolysis, I’ve just had my second treatment and am really pleased with the results and will definitely be visiting again. I highly recommend Sandalwoods. Barbara is extremely professional and knowledgeable within her field. She is super friendly and makes you feel at ease. Her clinic is beautifully set up, clean and tidy and has a real calming feel. We are all individuals, therefore, results from treatments may vary from person to person. Results will last a different amount of time from person to person depending on variables such as the individual’s metabolism, lifestyle and area of treatment; this may even vary between treatments for an individual. Results, downtime and recovery following treatment will vary. Side effects that may occur are redness, swelling, tenderness and bruising at the injection site, however, these are mild and temporary.
