Wart Removal

There are a number of types of warts. Below are some of the most common wart problems that the Sandalwoods Blemish & Wart Removal Clinic treat on a daily basis:

• Common warts: Raised growths which have a hard and uneven surface, these are the most familiar type of wart and usually appear on the hands and feet.
• Soles of feet: please see our "Wart Removal" page for more on Verrucas.
• Periungual warts: Warts found around the tips of fingers or toes.
• Subungual warts: These appear under and around fingernails.
• Flat / plane warts: These are smooth warts with flat tops mostly occurring on the hands or face.
• Seborrhoeic warts: These aren’t actually warts at all, they are non-cancerous growths appearing on the outer layer of skin, can start pale in colour becoming darker through to dark brown. See seborrhoeic keratosis.

To remove a wart from your skin, we use the latest Advanced Cosmetic Procedures, also known as Advanced Electrolysis. The treatment process requires the tip of a small probe to be used with a tiny energy current to remove the blemish.

The treatment itself is a little uncomfortable but easily tolerated.

Warts initially turn white and need to be kept clean post treatment.
